The highly anticipated fourth season of the AST Dew Tour kicked of on Wednesday, June 19th in Baltimore, MD.

The Panasonic Open, the first stop on the tour, opened the season with highly technical riding and fierce competition. The four-day event brought together an impressive array of former Dew Cup winners and acclaimed athletes from around the world. Among the former winners are Ryan Sheckler, Daniel Dhers, Bucky Lasek, Nate Adams and Jamie Bestwick.

The AST Dew Tour is the largest multidiscipline action sports tour in the US. The tour consists of five stops across the country in which athletes earn cumulative points and vie for a share of the $2.5 million competitive purse, and an additional $1 million bonus pool. Each stop along the tour features skateboarding (park and vert), BMX (park, vert, and dirt) and freestyle motocross. At the end of the season the competitors who have accumulated the most points in each of the six disciplines are awarded the prestigious Dew Cup.

Maryland was especially inviting this year to Bucky Lasek, a Baltimore native. June 21 was named “Bucky Lasek Day” and the local boy showed his appreciation by claiming the win in the vert comp on his day.
