Among the features offered by the EPIC Action Sports Video Camera are that it is lightweight, weighing less than three ounces and small (1.3” x 2.75”) which makes it easy to take anywhere. It can easily be clipped to your clothing or helmet, strapped to your limbs or mounted onto your gear without the weight interfering with your performance. A variety of straps and mounting devices are available to fit most needs including a bar mount which allows you to attach the camera to the front of your bike, ATV or motorcycle.

While many videos taken during action sports seem jarring and of poor quality, this camera takes clear and seamless video of the action. Even on a cloudy day, the video quality didn’t seem to suffer. In addition to the impressive video quality, the audio quality is also quite good; we could clearly hear the conversations that took place as well as the bearings of the skateboards.

The EPIC Action Sports Video Camera is also a 5 mega pixel camera and boasts a trademarked Burst Mode Technology which allows it to shoot up to nine consecutive still images.
When you are done with your latest session or adventure, you can easily transfer the images from your camera to your computer and easily upload them to YouTube or the EPIC website.
There are some drawbacks. In this digital age, we are used to being able to immediately check our pictures and video so that we know right away what shots we got and which ones we missed. The EPIC Action Sports Video Camera doesn’t offer that capability. You don’t know what’s on your camera until you transfer the images to your computer. We also noticed that the camera periodically shut off before we finished filming a run. While the two-button operation may be handy once you get used to it, it can initially be tricky and frustrating. We also had a hard time finding a good place to mount the camera in a place where it didn’t interfere with tricks but offered a good angle during skateboarding.
Overall, the EPIC Action Sports Video Camera is absolutely worth the investment if you are an active outdoor athlete and want the technology to record and share your adventures.
